These aren't mine, and I'm not a huge fan of graded games. Neither are the vast majority of people in most TG16 communities. That said, its going to be really interesting to see where they end. They're all starting at $1.95. It will be fun to watch, and see if there's some collector market that buys these up for insane prices, or if VGA and TG16 just don't mix. Regardless of how stupid you think these plastic tombs are (and don't get me wrong, I agree) this should be fascinating.

I know this sounds silly, but couldn't a semi-motivated person forge VGA/WATA grading? Or is there some sort of registry that VGA/WATA maintains to prevent this? I see the "VERIFY SERIAL NUMBER" option on the VGA website, but I'm not going to create an account. Anyway, couldn't I just steal a serial number from an existing game, duplicate the label, and then slap it on a similar item? I know what I am suggesting would be the death knell for any grading service, but I am curious if you have ever heard of anyone discussing it? I guess I would have heard about it (forging VGA credentials) by now, but, still, I am surprised I never hear folks talking about this aspect. For the record: I am not a fan of VGA/WATA and the services they provide, but, whatever...

I guess the hologram is the hard part. I'm not sure how easy it would be to get holograms made. Maybe we should ask Tobias

Maybe we should ask Tobias Or maybe the seller is the same ppl that sell and incase VGA stuffs, and these are all the leftovers from customers that didn't want to pay the fees after sending in their games to graded.

VGA/WATA grading isn't super expensive, so I don't see forging the grading being that lucrative. Additionally, you'd still have to forge the game sealed itself to pass muster.
On the other hand, just forging H-seams for NES games would be way more lucrative. Send it to VGA/WATA, have them certify your "sealed game" and sell it on Heritage Auctions for stupid money... that's where the real forgery money is.
A copy of Punchout sold for some $30k? It was beyond stupid.

Yeah, I guess it's better to use VGA/WATA to "endorse" forged seals... ha! That actually makes more sense. BUT....

Peter had these for a very long time. In his store/posting them for sale on the Facebook pages. Guessing he just wanted all the sealed Turbografx stuff he had gone. He definitely lost money on some of them, but it was an entertaining watch as DK said. Some of those games should have not been graded, as there's not a lot of collectors into damaged sealed stuff.
