Are you a serious collector who appreciates the investment potential of counterfeit video games?
For a limited time you can impress both of your social media followers with an unboxing video of a stack of fake PC Engine games for the low price of only $1845 USD.
Your significant other may be asking, "isn't that a lot of money for $30 of materials manufactured within the past few years?" You can finally shut their ignorant mouth once and for all by pointing out that the regular asking price of these forever to be re-printed bootlegs is a whopping $2775!
That's a savings of $930! Think of how many real PC Engine games you could buy with such money!
In fact, you'll only be losing money by not taking advantage of this once in lifetime sale ending in 8 days, 2 hours, 59 minutes and 7 seconds.

This is pretty amusing. Is this a reaction to something recent or just a long-simmering sentiment that most of us share?

Those damn boots make searching ebay for good stuff even harder. Ridiculous prices even on there too. WTF.
Also, the OP reminded me of this Santatlantean protoytype listing that gave me a hell of good laugh:
he had me at "signed by developer, not very rare"

Tobias is everything Chris and Dion (NGF) wanted to be. If he’s making his own clone system there is no limit to this BS. I expect him to be shipping Simpson’s arcade cabinets by 2024.

Jesus, PCEWorks still exists and seems to have released tons of stuff in the past 3 years.
AND, still f*cknuts.
I must admit, I am curious how much money this makes for Mr. Mastermind (I'm sure he pays very little to the graphic designer(s) who do all the nice work).
SOME. THINGS. NEVER. CHANGE.

So, are there any alternative options out there?
I get the hate for the PCEWorks that I only recently found out about (I was just excited to find a place to maybe be able to get quality sounding repros less than original discs) but have yet to find any alternative options out there? There are a handful of games I would like to get but not crazy about gambling paying big bucks for a disc that may be bad or soon die (I've got a handful of music CDs and at least one 360 game that have rotted over a decade ago already). I have a Duo-R on it's way to me and searching around online it sounds like lots of people have issues getting CD-Rs to play when I started to look into the best way to make them in preparation, which was news to me since all I had heard from YT videos was how easy it was to just burn & play burned PCECD games.

If you can't afford legit copies, I would personally much rather see you burn them than buy from PCE Works. Buy good quality disks and take care of your stuff and you'll be fine.

The best solution is a Super SD System 3 and a Core/SuperGrafx.
It doesn't take many PCEWorks set purchases to add up to the superior experience. I have every official game on an sdcard in mine.
Now I save my quality cdrs for beta testing.

DUO-R and RX systems are among the best at being able to play CD-R discs. Regular Black DUOs can sometimes be picky and can require trying a couple different brands of Media until you find the kind that works best for that particular DUO. One brand that works good in one black duo may not work for another and vise versa.
