Turns out there was a faq for this thing in their support section that mentions the Everdrive, it says "Duo supports everything that an original Turbo Duo, PC Engine, TurboGrafx-16 or SuperGrafx supports. To use an Everdrive with an acrylic top you may need to remove the acrylic piece to allow it to fit."; good news, it would have been shitty if it wasn't supported. Here's the faq: support.analogue.co/hc/en-us/articles/360051105131-Analogue-Duo-FAQNot gonna support CD Stupid Card 4.0 I bet...

If not, it probably wouldn't be TOO difficult to make a slot extension board.

Maybe the wrong place to ask this, but what's the deal with the turbo functionality with the 8BitDo controllers? The analogue pocket seems to have the same weird 4 button layout. Are the top buttons full turbo and the bottom not turbo? Does the turbo match the same speed as the original controllers? I was pretty happy to see the turbo functionality on the mini being close enough to the real thing that I couldn't tell a difference, but this 4 button thing has left me confused. Any one have any experience? The real controllers, turbo high is 30hz and low turbo is 15hz. But they're not timers. They're just toggles. So if a game reads the gamepads at 60hz, then top speed is 30hz. If there is slowdown and the game logic engine is setup in such a way that it doesn't read the controller input on the missed frame, then top rate will be 1/2 whatever the frequency of reading the controller is. It's quite different than other rapid fire options on other systems. That said, since these new systems don't do that - they should have added an analogue timer circuit with an adjustable knob like on the NES advantage (for those top buttons.). Also, the lack of a 6 button PCE pad is kinda sad, but 3 button pad is a must in any PCE gamers collection.

It's also worth noting that, if my memory is correct, the SSDS3 had some hardware issues, and I'm not sure if all of them were ever fixed.

As I understand it, the RGB issue was fixed in rev 2, and the audio issue has a solution... ...Which leaves the SD Card access as the only one I'm aware still exists. This paper has a description of several items which are being investigated by end users: junkerhq.net/MDFourier/notes/MDF-Note07-SDCard-3.pdf

Considering I have original hardware, a Terraonion ODE, and a Mister - this is a hard pass for me. It looks super cool but in a post-Mister world I’ll be hard pressed to buy another Analogue console.

For me, this could be a reason to replace my Duo.

When the price was $199.99 i all most consider it but since it has double,no thanks.I'm fine currently with my tg16+turbo-cd and duo-r. If i wanted another way to play pce on a hdmi tv i more likely lean towards a mister at this point.Beside how analogue get's you with the shipping etc.Beside i don't have any spare money to buy another console at this point i just got a PS5 recently.

Honestly, if the Pocket could do a full ACD/SGX combo I'd just get that.

Tough for me to justify. As others have said, I've got a lot of ways to play PC Engine - a Duo, MiSTer, Analogue Pocket (hopefully that core will get more love!), and TG-16 Mini, among others. But I'm sure it will be a quality product.

When the price was $199.99 i all most consider it but since it has double,no thanks. It was $50 more than the three year old announcement price of $200. With all the past talk of "chip shortage" and on-going inflation, I'm okay with that. Shipping was always gonna be extra. All in with taxes, it was $303 for me. I went ahead and pre-ordered it, I figure it can be a backup console or an easy "con" system to tote around. I do not have a Mister or onion, so this is an easier sell to me (plus it looks cool). But I will wait for reviews on how the CD slot loading drive treats discs before I put in originals
