Besides Tales of Hearts R on Vita, I'm playing Mega Man Zero in the Mega Man Zero/ZX collection on PS4.
A side note, I was playing Deadpool for the first time on PS3 and my PS3 died on me. It froze in the middle of the game so I restarted it. The PS3 powers on, but there's nothing on screen. Also it seems like my controllers won't sync up with the PS3. Not sure what to do. I looked up a couple of tutorials but none of them have worked so far. Really hoping it's just some sort of simple video problem or something that I can fix myself.
It's the fat 60 gig PS3 that plays PS1 and PS2 games, so it's an extra shame that it's not working! Anyone have any ideas?

I'm currently dinking around with the Saturn version of Ys II (Falcom Collection) which is more razmataz than I thought it would be. Hudson's versions are better but these are still cool.

A good friend of mine says that the Saturn version of Ys II is one of his all-time favorite games, so it's something I've been meaning to check out. My impression from glancing at a couple of screenshots is that it's perhaps a bit drab, so I was interested to read that the game in general is more exciting than you were expecting. Maybe I should finally take a look at this myself?

I was under the impression that it was a straight port of the PC original but with more color which would have meant whatever fits on a floppy disc. This isn’t that. This is a lot like what Hudson did. The cinemas are FMV of (cheap) cel animation. The music sounds like “cheap Yamaha” so in my brief playing time I was unable to make a decision as to whether they were CD audio or Saturn chip*. The dialogues are CD audio.
The game itself is still “smash into them” but with much finer control and a run button. What I’ve played of the game has been identical to the PCE one. None of the art is the same but everything is in the same place.
There is a teeny little bit of that fuzzy/blurry look/feel that comes with 32-bit but not too much. If you can get this game as cheaply as I did I say for for it.
* EDIT: Upon re-examining the music seems to be CD audio of music performed on synths only slightly better than the Saturn sound chip.

I'm on the last game of the Mega Man collection, ZX Advent. The ZX game are either harder than I remember, or porting them to console made a difference in difficulty.

I beat Ys: Memories of Celceta on PS4. I enjoyed it more this time around then I did back when I played on the Vita. I still prefer Dawn of Ys though.
I'm now playing as Zangetsu in Bloodstained, & might move on to FF7 Remake after that.

I've gotten into Necromancer. Never played such a grindfest before. I don't think I've played a turn-based RPG with so many 1 step battles! Other than your main character sometimes your sub characters don't have enough STR to inflict any damage on monsters.
Pretty animations though. LOVE the atmosphere. Pity I don't know what the heck is going on.
