Hi guys I have an sound issue on my pc engine GT. The sound is really low on the speaker I already replaced all capacitors: but nothing better. I double check capacitors connections but all is ok. I change the sound amplifier by another one of a dead motherboard: but same issue. I also tried the control board (with speacker) on another console and sound is great ,loud... So the issue come from the mother board. Anyone has an idea of which component I can check or look at?
Thanks in advance for your idea:)

I bet the internals of your headphone jack are bad. The headphone jack actually is supposed to turn up the volume for the main speaker when no headphones are plugged in. I bet this part of the port is bad. Did you accidentally melt part of the back of the headphone jack when changing out the caps? I see this a lot and usually the headphone port then needs to be replaced.

The maximum volume is just too low compared to a normal console. I will check the head phone jack this week end and let you know. thanks again

Édit :I replaced the head phone jack and exactly same result:( I also double check the 5 sound capacitor value with capacitor tester . I haven't any idea what I can check more...

Hmm, without actually being able to hear it myself it's difficult for me to suggest what is wrong with it if the headphone jack is good. The only other thing I can think of is that there must be bad traces on the board for the capacitors.
