You must have missed the budget PSP release. Im not into handhelds. Id look like a 6 year old playing Pokeyman I understand if you don’t want to play it on PSP but do you seriously think you look more grown up playing a PCE?

Id look like a 6 year old playing Pokeyman i have physical PSP of this game and rip to digital copy and modified it with CHD, with the digital copy and have transferred to both ps vita 2000 and the playstation (vita) TV which is not portable, it plays awesome as ps vita has native psp hardware within it, playing it wireless ps3 controller and it has bluetooth audio as well.

Finally got to pre-order this today! SUPER excited to finally experience more of the TGFX + PCE library after having only played Lords of Thunder on the Wii VC years ago. I wasn't around when the original TGFX was a thing, so I can't wait to see what y'all saw in this little (big?) console that could. Plus, this is really the only "classic" console I was excited for, seeing as it has a lot more than the other ones and I know M2 is behind it, so it's sure to be a good time no matter what.

Heck yeah, enjoy!
After seeing how well they did with Genesis mini, I also can't wait for this one! Hopefully it's easy to add more games to it, I am curious how flexible their emulator is. PCE is so successfully emulated on other platforms, I can't imagine this having any hiccups!

I got the Genesis one last night and I’m pretty happy with it other than the controller ports not accepting standard pads, at least as far as I can tell, which makes the pad selection zero. PCE pads don’t suck though so I’ll be even happier with the TG Mini (although I will pay a stupid premium to NOT get the TurboGrafx shell if I have too).

PC Engine Mini's twitter just updated with all 3 boxes alongside a Gradius case for size.
Looks like I got my hopes for a Snatcher translation up for nothing. PC Engine games are listed on the Turbografx Mini box as "featured games are in Japanese." Also interesting, some games use their Japanese titles while Genpei Toumaden and Valkyrie no Densetsu use their English titles from when they were on the Namco Museum Vol 4 on the PS1. But they're the Japanese versions, so they're not using those English translated versions, right? I'm a little confused.

In this day and age given the amount of community content created on modern games I am surprised that Konami didn't reach out to cabbage or straight steal his work for that. cabbage are you on these forums?

You would think that just grabbing the SEGA CD dialogue for the PCE SCD version would be something Konami could do......

You would think that just grabbing the SEGA CD dialogue for the PCE SCD version would be something Konami could do...... The games are different enough that it would be a lot of work. The Sega-CD version was designed for an English audience. Probably easier to just do a fresh localization.

i wonder if Konami has to pay any royalties to NEC, probably not considering there is no NEC logo on the box and console, presumable, 25 year old patent has long expired.

You must have missed the budget PSP release. Im not into handhelds. Id look like a 6 year old playing Pokeyman i have modified my playstation (vita) tv to allow official native support for psp ripped from my own source (ps1 disc -> digital also ripped using pc), Ginga Fukei Densetsu Sapphire, castlevania x collection and pc engine soldier blade collections were the first ones which i digitalise from physical umd disc to digital format which is playable on modified psp, ps vita and playstation (vita) tv, with playstation (vita) tv, it has hdmi and ps3 dual shock 3 and ps4 dual shock support as well as bluetooth support, i even modified the ps vita with adaptor card slot to accept sd cards and using 128gb. best of both worlds, both hand held console and home console version of these pc engine games

The TG-16 box will never look authentic until it has a series of lower and lower price tags on top of each other.
