It's a long shot, but I'm having some trouble with the drivers for integrated graphics on my Vaio P. Apparently it was always an issue, as they were never optimised properly for the Vaio P, but even with the ones people have created, I still get problems (no display), and I don't really know where to start, or what questions to ask.

Are you sure it's a driver issue and not a power or a hardware related issue? Reason wasn't I'm asking had a client that had their screen go out randomly and found out the battery was going out. Replaced the battery and bam went away.

definitely - it's a known issue with the onboard Intel graphics chip. People managed to make some custom drivers, but they don't work with my particular model. I even created my own driver package using Intels tool according to the specifications people found, but they don't work either. I suspect I have a slightly different screen in this iteration and that's causing the issue, but I don't know enough about how drivers work

Try this if you haven't already, go to intels site and use their auto detect software to see what driver it recommends. Also try plugging in an external screen and see if it does the same thing.

I think there is a driver that works, but somehow it's not optimized. I'll give it a try tonight
