I was going to post some stuff and then I read through the thread and saw that I already had so...some more:
Bazaru De Gozaru No Game De Gozaru: This game is like a grand so forget ever owning it but I quite like my boot of it. It’s like King Arthur’s World on SNES except it’s like a grand. It’s easier to see also and more all ages I guess but then also it’s like an f-ing grand. I think Tatsujin owns like six copies.
Blodia: if only it had graphics, nobody would doubt it.

Silent Debuggers doesn't get enough credit for being one of the earliest survival horror games. Just like how I don't get enough credit for my 2 million in Splatterhouse

Check out "3D Monster Maze" for the ZX81 (1981) if you like to play the probably oldest survival horror game. It's good fun. It should be playable in the browser with some online emulator. That hardware wasn't too common in the US.

I mean it ain't Super Hang On but...I got Bari Bari Densetsu in a lot a few years ago and really learned to like it.
I guess I have a soft spot for PCE racers generally though...I also really like the F1 Circus games. They're to damn fast for me and I am not great at them (screen needs like another 30% of zoom out), but I like them.

Yeah. Those F1 Circus games are underrated. They’re sorta for real F1 fans which was probably at peak popularity in Japan when this series was going but if given a chance I think a lot of people would like them.
You have to be fast and you have to memorize the course. You also have to give a crap, which is easier when you just paid $60 for the game than it is when you’re just shuffling through ROMs. The “too hard for a ROM” thing and the fact that you can probably own every F1 PCE game for $1 now contribute to people not always giving these games a chance.

I was always terrible at overhead racers like the games mentioned, or even Super Sprint style. Though I can't get enough of Rally X. Go figure.

I hear you. I love finding cheap (sub 10$) PCE games I can at least drop a few hours on. Have the real manual to flip through, etc.
I can only get about three tracks in on ANY of the versions of I own before, like you said, it becomes BIG TIME about memorization. I know that first track in 92 REAL well tho!

I mean it ain't Super Hang On but...I got Bari Bari Densetsu in a lot a few years ago and really learned to like it. I'm with you. Bari has a good presentation (that intro!) and drives decent. The fact it's cheap only adds to the enjoyment. I've yet to pick it up it yet, let's hope some hollytuber doesn't do a vid on it and skyrocket the price for collectards. I guess I have a soft spot for PCE racers generally though...I also really like the F1 Circus games. They're to damn fast for me and I am not great at them (screen needs like another 30% of zoom out), but I like them. I think any lot buy on YAJ of Hu's, you'll end up with a few F1's. The 3rd one really shines to me graphically. Like most here, the top view driving takes time to learn to be proficient at. Again, a super cheap game to get. In fact I ended up with all three F1 Circus hucards via a trade deal b/c I over paid for shipping, so the seller tossed them in for me.

Which F1 did Capcom make for PCE Hu again? Can't remember its name but I do remember it having a nice presentation.
