I have no idea what that is but it looks like something that would've been on the PlayStation.

LOL I guess I went too far. Here's a hint: It's featured in the promo tape for the turbografx, on the PC Engine game previews where they play 5 seconds of many game clips that never actually came to the US, and some that eventually did like Cyber Core and Bloody Wolf.

I'm sure I've seen this game but couldn't remember which. Mahjong Academy? Edit:Confirmed I was correct. The disembodied hands are a staple of the series (wonder what people in Capcom were smoking at that time).

Aaargh! Couldn't find the image after closing Paint XP. Wait a bit more. That usual sloooow Windows search is still in progress. Hopefully I could recover it and don't need to do it over.
Lesson: After doing something, make sure you know where it's saved (or whether it's really saved) before closing the programme.

Lesson 2: After installing a new programme, do NOT just click the "launch this just installed app" button and work from there. Launch the app AFTER closing the installer. So the image was gone and I had to start over. Luckily I remembered to use the curve tool this time and the flow was much smoother, and arguably the result looked better. Anyway:

That's a great image, and very familiar too but I can't remember what game it is for the life of me.
You know I went to play it again on an emulator (the regular version) and I thought that, since it's a licensed title, the "MILD" version was just an old fashioned strategy to make people buy the regular version expecting boobies to show up... except that the mad lads at Face actually put in nudity in the regular version.
I didn't know NEC/Hudson were so liberal at the time

I didn't know NEC/Hudson were so liberal at the time Actually as it was before any established law/rule/whatever were made on video games, NEC never imposed any ratings on PCE games(as they're the primary PC manufacturer it's just like why they didn't imposed anything on PC games on their platforms). It's only the developers/publishers's own decision on what should be shown and what not (e.g. the Cosmic Fantasy series had become more and more extreme in sexual contents over the years and the later installments could be considered softcore porn in some scenes), they applied censorship themselves for various reasons, such as to protect their own brand image. That's why even not counting the unlicensed stuff, games on NEC consoles were usually more lax on censorship than Nintendo and Sega's counterparts(Sega did try to lessen up on this during the Saturn and Dreamcast eras but that doesn't say much). This, of course, doesn't apply to their overseas versions. I think each of these companies imposed strict rules on sexual and religious contents on the western versions of their games. It was actually due to complaints (by moral guardians and parents, apparently) after Mahjong Academy's release that made them create a "Mild" version. Trivia: Regarding companies trying to protect their own image, the original Mahjong Academy arcade games had a similar story. The original game was created by Capcom, more or less by the very same people who made Side Arms, Final Fight and Street Fighter II (and the main artist designs Gundams now, which is ironic as he put so many Gundam references into Side Arms) but feared that it would hurt their own image Capcom didn't want to publish it themselves, and so it's published by another company called Yuga/Yuuga (often mistaken to be a brand created by Capcom but it's actually another company which sold slot machines, pachiko machines, etc.). The rights were later acquired by Face and I think Capcom had nothing to do with the PCE version.

Could be Shovel Knight. Well drawn btw gilbot. No. While it's not restricted here I decided to only draw PCE games. I think this is a relatively big hint.
