So excited. I know it's going to be a huge task but I'm finally tackling the legend of Xanadu. My dad never got to play it in English so I've decided this is going to be our first project in his memory.
I'm sad but happy I finally have the resources to try and tackle this. Wish me luck everyone.

This will not include dubbing. Only the text. We're a small group. If we can figure out how to inject subs without too much trouble that may happen.

Wish me luck everyone. You are absolutely free to do as you wish, but it seems a little pointless (to me) for you to spend time duplicating the existing-but-horrendously-delayed LoX/LoX2 translations, just because you're personally frustrated that they've not been released because the translator had children, and has prioritized them and his family for a few years, rather than spending all of his time finishing off the dub. There are plenty of other untranslated PCE games that could benefit from a new team's attentions, especially something like Gulliver Boy now that the HuVideo playback code has been reverse-engineered and re-implemented. But the choice of how you spend your free time is yours to make. Good luck!

We did a partial playthrough with Google translate, so at least there was that. I understand family duties very well, obviously. I don't feel like I'm owed a translation and I don't even expect one. I understand that it could come out tomorrow for all I know. But there wasn't a tomorrow for my father, so I'll give the old Thanos gauntlet a lift and see what I can do. I'd love to take a crack at Gulliver boy though, good suggestion! Definitely a future consideration.

Tons of other choices would be Dragon Slayer Legend of Heroes II, Popful Mail, Sorcerian, Brandish, Anearth Fantasy Stories, Sol Moonarge, Sol Bianca, Neo Metal Fantasy, Blood Gear, Record of Lodoss War 1 or 2, Xak 1 and 2, Fray CD Xak Gaiden, the 3 Far East of Eden/Tengai Makyou RPGs, Monster Maker(fix the glitch), Magicoal, Auleria, Australius, Emerald Dragon(I think there was a translation but don't know what happened to it), Tenshi no Uta 1 or 2, Dragon Knight 1-3, Wizardry 1-5, Linda Cube, Shin Megami Tensai, La Valeur, Monbit, Babel, there's more, these are just all the ones I can think of in a pinch.
However, one series that's being translated currently apparently is the entire Cosmic fantasy series. It's on the Nintendo switch, but I'm hoping somebody someday will be able to hack those games and make them playable on a proper Turbo.

Anearth or Emerald Dragon would be great pics. Maybe find a way to take over the Emerald Dragon project. We could have a non-toxic situation to contribute to.

Whatever the game, a translator is what is most needed. Several of the games above have hacking completed enough for a proof of concept, but no translator.

Anearth or Emerald Dragon would be great! Do both of them have enough memory available to add subtitles? I recall that being an issue with some games. I believe Tengai Makyou Ziria was going to be hacked using the Super CD version because of the extra memory available. Although that was ages ago so maybe I'm remembering wrong?
Obviously LRG(or whoever), has been able to add subs to Valis 1-4, Psychic Storm, Avenger, and the upcoming Cosmic Fantasy 1 and 2, but, I don't know for sure if that'd be doable on an actual Turbo without hacking each game to require the next system card up. I assume Inin is doing the same thing with Image Fight II, unless they put the money together for a dub? That would be great but I'm not counting on it!

The Valis and Cosmic Fantasy collections, at least, are from a company called Edia. From the look of the subtitles, I'd say it's a safe bet they're using the emulation layer to display them.

Yeah, I wasn't sure who was providing the subs, since Edia is I believe a Japanese organization I was figuring there were no added subs to the Japanese versions.

Anearth or Emerald Dragon would be great! Do both of them have enough memory available to add subtitles? Anearth already has dialog boxes that show the text of each of the spoken voice samples, so no extra subtitles are needed for that game! Well hell, I know some people who could maybe be convinced to do translation work, as long as the technical side is still on-board to implement the resulting translated text. Thank you for the thought, but with over 250 different script files, a lot of dialog boxes that contain text from 2 different script files, and a lot of finicky timing-dependant stuff in the dialog boxes, this is going to be a project for a very experienced game translator/tester who has a deep passion for this particular game, and not someone who "could maybe be convinced".

Well, I couldn’t convince him, anyway, so no problem 😁
