What are you guys watching and what streaming services you guys using? I signed up for CrunchyRoll to watch Mob Psycho 100 and Darling in the Franxx but not a whole lot else looked to interesting on there for me. I'd definitely past the target age range for most of the shows on there lol. Netflix has had some really good offerings lately, especially Devilman Crybaby which I HIGHLY recommend. Japanese street fashion, freestyle rap, 70's Go Nagai style, electro OST man it has it all and an easy watch since it was only 10 or so episodes. Also saw a couple movies in theater. Mazinger Z Infinity had a limited theater release and I was fortunate to catch it with some friends. Also got to see Fate Stay Night: Heaven's Feel which was incredible, even if you've already seen the other Fate series. Animation quality was top notch. Always looking for new and old shows to watch. I grew up with this stuff in the 90s with Animerica Magazine, Viz Media, Manga Entertainment and AnimEigo and been feeling very nostalgic lately

I enjoyed No Game No Life, lovely use of colour. Also Gate was worth watching, took a few episodes to get into it. Both are on Crunchyroll. I really need to get back to watching more Dragon Ball Super too.

My dad and I are waiting for One Punch Man season 2
I don't watch much honestly. I read One Piece weekly though, but the anime has improved a little.
Binge watched Yu Yu Hakusho...the middle portion is amazing but the beginning is slow and the end is rushed. Watch the dub.

I watched the new Devilman series, I believe its on Netflix. Pretty bad ass compared to the old stuff, seemed a little rushed at times.

Hajamino Ippo is my current all-time fave, and I loved Baki the Grappler.

Macross Plus is my all-time fave anime, but Escaflowne and Bubblegum Crisis are tied for a close second.

I enjoyed No Game No Life, lovely use of colour. Just checked this out and I'm going to stick with it. I really like the art style. Also the music is done by Super Sweep which is Shinji Hosoe's studio. Hosoe is one of my all time favorite game OST composers with titles like Dragon Spirit, Ridge Racer, Mushihimesama under his belt. The fan service of the step sister was a little awkward though but not at all surprising.

I don't know what it is about Laserdisc, but it just feels like the right format to watch anime. Followed closely by VHS because that's how I watched it originally and for a very long time. I've watched some on my computer, but it just doesn't have the same impact. I tend to lose interest if I'm watching it on my computer. But I'll watch the same thing on my old CRT and Laserdisc player and get totally engrossed. It's a shame anime is so expensive right now on Laserdisc. I did just score a copy of Akira for $15 shipped, so I'm pretty stoked for that to arrive. I have two versions of it on VHS.

roflmao, how great, Moldiver! I got it on DVD.
I was made aware of the Bean Bandit kickstarter:
There's a trailer with some still and some animated footage. When you see the old and new art side by side in the trailer, it's obvious for me which one I like better. Sadly, the new art style is not my cup of tea, especially the animated fight scene has put me off enough to despise this project. I'll stay with good ol' Riding Bean from the 80s.
I like Kenichi Sonoda's art style a lot from the 80s (e.g. Bubblegum Crisis), through the 90s (Gunsmith Cats) even up to the mid 2000s (Canon God Exaxxion, Gunsmith Cats Burst). However, I don't understand how once great character designers (Sonoda, Mikimoto, Urushihara) have gotten so bad when they crossed the millenium years. Sonoda's style isn't what it used to be, Mikimoto's gone rotten, and Urushihara's once beatiful sexy and warm-hearted art has become cold and sterile. Hell, Masamune Shirow maybe took the biggest hit in the transition years from manually colored cel art anime to today's computer colored flat characters and ugly CGI animation. Thanks, but no thanks.

roflmao, how great, Moldiver! I got it on DVD. Yeah, it's fun! I know it's not the same caliber as Project-Ako or Dragon Half, other cute and funny OVAs, but it's also a lot cheaper to acquire. I'll take it! And the more I watch it, the more I like it. I love the nod to Laserdisc in one episode!

I also liked the Tyrell P34 Six-Wheeler, I think it was in the same episode?

I recently picked up the last two discs of the Moldiver set. It's a fun series. Silly, with an extra dose of fan service. Holy crap this is an old show I wouldn't mind watching it again but I only have it on VHS and no player

Holy crap this is an old show I wouldn't mind watching it again but I only have it on VHS and no player That's no excuse when VHS recorders are piling up at Goodwill and other thrift stores. Try to hunt down an S-VHS one, if you get it for cheap. It won't display VHS tapes any better than a regular machine, but it should be constructed to last since they were more expensive back in the day, and always came with Stereo and S-Video outputs.
