That said, we don't have any old threads to necro-post in, so we can create redundant topics with those if we want to revisit them. As long as we're not asinine about it.

My favorite thread from PCEFX was the one about music being pretty blatantly stolen. I guess I'll revisit the thread on here once I've gotten a bit of time to organize some stuff from the old thread.

When I get a chance I'll see if I can save some old posts I made, although I hadn't been on the PCEFX forum in a long time I guess I kinda thought the posts would always be around, but it looks like the site will probably self destruct and disappear some time soon.

Preserving the history is a great idea.
I have been constructing a database of items that I have found evidence or that I believe existed at one point or another.
It is a fairly exhaustive list of hardware, software, merchandise (US mostly), as well as variations for different markets beyond US and Japan.
What would be the best way to get this information merged with data that is already available?

Since I couldn't just sit and watch our collective knowledge on PC Engine development go to waste due to the actions of a single insane user, I took the liberty to use a web crawler to backup the entire "Turbo/PCE Game/Tool Development" subforum @ PCEFX. Do you think that it might be possible for you to do the same thing for The Brother's Duomazov website? It's been dead for over a week, so I suspect that the original site is not going to come back. It would be great to have that site archived somewhere. I bet that there's a good chance that esteban would host it on his server, if he had a copy of the site. You can still read (and presumably crawl) the old site in The Wayback Machine, but it'll become "lost history" if people don't link to it.

Shit, that's a really good idea! Totally didn't think about the wayback machine. Great that there are still some historians left.

I actually am extremely busy at the moment but I'll see what I can do. I think someone was trying to do the same a while ago but didn't succeed though? I hope the archive doesn't have crawling defeating measures.
